The EFFC Chairman- I Would Rather Resign Than Work Against My Conscience And The Rule Of Law
The executive chairman of EFCC (Economic and Financial Crime Commission), Abdulrasheed Bawa has sworn to step down on his position if anyone wants him to act against the rule of law and his conscience. He also mentions that the allows EFCC to inspect bankers’ assets. According to a Nigerian news headline today , Bawa made everyone aware of his position on his appearance in an interview with the NTA- Nigerian Television authority. Mr. Wilson Uwajaren, the EFCA’s Head of Media and Public Relations released the minutes of the interview yesterday. He said that the fear of God and rule of law are his guiding principles. Also stated that “I will keep doing what is right. The commission I’m overseeing will continue to respect the rule of law. "If someone asks me to do something contrary to my conscience or the rule of law, I will resign my appointment."
